# Members and roles

> Invite your team and choose what each person can do.

A workspace is more fun with your team in it. You can invite the people you work with, then give each one the right level of access.

A member is a person in your workspace. Each member has a role, and the role decides what they can do.

<Note>
  Every plan comes with unlimited seats. Invite as many people as you like — it never costs more.
</Note>

## The three roles

There are three roles. Here is what each one can do.

| Role | What they can do |
| ------ | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| Owner | Created the workspace. Has full control, including billing. |
| Admin | Manage settings, members, and everything day-to-day. |
| Member | Do the everyday work: prompts, content, and workflows. |

A few notes on roles:

* There is one Owner. It is the person who first made the workspace.
* When you invite someone, you pick **Admin** or **Member** for them.
* Admins can do almost everything. Members get the everyday tools but not the workspace settings.

## Invite a teammate

Inviting someone takes about a minute. They get an email and can join right away.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Members">
    Go to your workspace settings and open the **Members** page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite by email">
    Type your teammate's email address into the invite box.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a role">
    Choose **Admin** or **Member**. You can change this later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    ZeroRank emails them a link to join. They click it and they're in.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Resend or cancel an invite

An invite waits until your teammate accepts it. Until then, you have two options:

* **Resend** the invite if the email got lost or buried.
* **Cancel** the invite if you sent it by mistake or no longer need it.

You'll find both choices next to the pending invite on the **Members** page.

## Change a role or remove a member

People move teams and jobs change. You can update anyone in your workspace at any time.

* **Change a role:** Find the member on the **Members** page and switch them between **Admin** and **Member**.
* **Remove a member:** Take someone out of the workspace when they no longer need access.

<Warning>
  Removing a member takes away their access right away. Add them back later with a fresh invite if you need to.
</Warning>
