# Recommendations

> Clear next steps to help AI mention you more.

Recommendations are clear next steps ZeroRank suggests for your brand. Each one is a small thing you can do to get AI engines to mention you more often.

ZeroRank reads your daily results and spots where you can grow. Then it turns that data into a to-do list, written in plain words. You do not have to guess what to fix. You just work through the list.

<Note>New here? Your visibility score is the share of AI answers that mention your brand. See [visibility score](/results/visibility-score) for the basics.</Note>

## The three kinds of recommendations

Recommendations come in three groups. Each group helps AI find and trust you in a different way.

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="On-page">
    On-page opportunities are content to create or improve on **your own** website.

    These suggest pages to write, sections to add, or wording to clean up. The goal is to give AI clear, quotable answers that name your brand. When your site answers a question well, AI is more likely to point to you.

    Want to act on these fast? ZeroRank can help you write the page. See [create content](/improve/create-content).
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Off-page">
    Off-page opportunities are places to show up on **other** websites.

    AI engines read more than your own site. They also read reviews, profiles, lists, and community posts. These suggestions point you to those places — like reaching out to a site, claiming a profile, or joining a community where your buyers ask questions.

    Showing up in more trusted spots means more answers can mention you.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Technical">
    Technical recommendations are site health fixes so AI can **read** you.

    If your pages are slow, blocked, or hard to read, AI may skip them. These suggestions flag those issues so your content gets seen.

    Many of these come from your site scan. See [AI readiness checks](/improve/ai-readiness-checks) for the full health report.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## How to work through them

Open the **Recommendations** page to see your full list. Then go one at a time.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Review each suggestion">
    Read what ZeroRank suggests and why it helps. Each one explains the step in plain words.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Act on the ones that fit">
    Start with the suggestions that match your goals. You can do them in any order.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Mark your progress">
    Each suggestion has a status you can update, like **reviewed** or **implemented**. Set the status as you go, so you can see what is left and what is done.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>ZeroRank uses AI to draft new suggestions for you. The number waiting at once depends on your plan. As you act on suggestions, more can show up over time.</Note>

<Tip>You don't have to clear the whole list at once. Pick one suggestion a week and your visibility score climbs little by little.</Tip>

## Where this fits in setup

Reviewing your recommendations is task 4 on your getting-started checklist. It is the moment your data turns into action. See [the getting-started checklist](/start/getting-started-checklist) for the full set of first-week tasks.
